Bill Summary:
This bill amends certain provisions related to the creation of a new school district.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 ▸ defines terms;
13 ▸ provides that a qualifying city or interlocal agreement participant may not submit
14 for voter approval a measure to create a new school district if the results of a
15 feasibility study show that the five-year projected average annual revenue of the
16 proposed new school district exceeds the five-year projected average annual cost of
17 the proposed new school district by more than 5%; and
18 ▸ makes technical and conforming changes.

Whereas Utah needs to have more school districts then it currently has, I do not support any measure that will further restrict the creation of new school districts.
